Brief

Please join us for a workshop with you to explore your ideas and thoughts on how to build HealthKey, including the sort of technical architecture, development plan, business drivers, and team configuration. We expect the workshop to take 90 minutes, but will share an invite for 120 minutes, in case we need the extra time.

Context around HealthKey and the product we are building is below, and we’d love to hear how, in this context, you would think about the next steps for our technical vision, architecture, team and build - in the immediate term, and the longer term.

Please think through your proposed approach ahead of our workshop; we’d love to start with your initial thoughts and discuss and build on them together during the workshop. You may have suggestions/questions/additions/challenges - that’s good too!

There will be four of us in the workshop: you, David (CEO, HealthKey), JG (Head of Product, Founders Factory) and Andrei (Head of Engineering, Founders Factory).

Context

Consumers are increasingly looking for personalised healthcare solutions, and while there is an ever growing number of digital health providers, and payers such as insurers and large employers recognise this need, consumers rarely have access to personalised products and services. This is due in large part to long sales cycles, complex reimbursement and procurement, as well as difficulty for payers to invest in multiple technical integrations.

HealthKey is an API-first platform that solves this problem by enabling digital health companies (e.g. digital therapeutics, mental health apps, e-pharmacies) to be accepted and reimbursed by large payers (e.g. insurers, large employers, health plans). HealthKey aims to build a two-sided platform between payers and digital health companies to enable easier payment flows, procurement processes, and integration systems for both parties.

Long term vision

We aim to make personalised healthcare easily accessible by building an API based infrastructure that allows health providers to integrate seamlessly with payers, and providing a friction-free user experience, including:

MVP

We are building a MVP to launch with Aviva employees by Late February. The MVP will be focused on integration with the Digital Health Providers, and will not require any integration with the payer.

The MVP will see users create a HealthKey account and be assigned a healthcare budget that they can use at any of the integrated digital health providers at their own discretion.

HealthKey (HK) enables a user to use their credit on the platform in order to contract
