Unclear expectations of each other and feelings of unfairness are two of the largest sources of conflict in a founding team.
Use this part of the process to understand yourself (values, preferences & skills) and your expectations from your cofounder. I’ve seen it work the best between cofounders when skills are complimentary but values are aligned.
Then make sure you have clear questions to ask throughout your interview process to ensure you test both the complimentary skills you need, as well as the person behind, the values they hold and ensure there is alignment with your own.
